Getting around
As we are located in the middle of the rice fields and not within walking distance to the beach or restaurants, we advice you to have your own means of transport while staying at Ombak Bagus. On walking distance you can reach a small supermarket, a massage salon and some ‘warungs’ for a simple local meal.
It is much cheaper to drive your own motorbike or car than to take a taxi. For the more adventurous guest, a motorbike gives the possibility to experience more details. Driving over the smaller roads of distant villages, you can experience daily life in Bali with all your senses. On the other hand, driving in a car is more comfortable and makes it easier to tour around the island for several days with your luggage. Hiring a car with driver gives you the freedom to enjoy your surroundings, while the driver takes care of the (sometimes hectic) traffic, and finding the way.
We offer the possibility to rent a motorbike (automatic or manual bikes), car or push bike. The motorbike is the most popular way of transportation on Bali. We can arrange for a motorbike with surf rack to transport your board on. All prices are excluding petrol. Petrol in Indonesia costs about Rp.5.000 (0,40 eurocents) per liter.
When you rent the motorbike for a longer period we can offer you a discount, see the prices below:
- 1 day : Rp. 40.000 (€ 3,30)
- 1 week: Rp. 250.000 (€ 21)
- 1 month: Rp. 700.000 (€ 58)
The rental price of a car depends on the type of car you wish to drive. If you want more information about car rental, please use the contact form (left side of the screen). The price of the push bike is Rp. 30.000 (€ 2,50) per day (a surf rack is also available).
Officially you need an international driving license for motorbikes or cars when driving one in Indonesia, so don’t forget to bring it (and you need the original driving license too). Many tourists drive without an (international) license, but this is your own responsibility.
