Boat Trip Bali – Nusa Lembongan – Lombok – Sumbawa

Captain Coconut Surf trip By Boat: Bali - Nusa Lembongan – Lombok - Sumbawa

We take you and your friends on a classic surf trip aboard the 80ft vessel Captain Coconut, which was modeled on the traditional Indonesian Jukung outrigger, and designed, specifically for surf charters. This style of boat is very stable, fast and roomy, it also has a shallow draft, thus being able to anchor in shallow smoother bays allowing for a more comfortable nights sleep. Captain Coconut sleeps up to 14 guests comfortably in large bunk style beds, although we do like to keep our number of guests down to 12, to save overcrowding in the surf. There is ample storage space for packs and surfboards, a large, covered, open air dining / chilling out area, and an air conditioned lounge and sleeping area.

The Features

Captain Coconut is powered by four 40hp Yamaha outboards, comfortable full size beds, shower and toilet, tv, video and stereo, 240v power with international plugs, fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer for fresh food and cold drinks, complete safety equipment, first aid kit, VHF/UHF radio, 4 meter tender with 15hp outboard, fishing, snorkeling and spear fishing gear, five experienced crew to look after your every need.

We can arrange for a photographer to accompany you on your trip, equipped with state of the art digital camera, laptop computer and full photo editing facilities, your photos can be printed on board or burned to CD for you to take home with you! Why spend your trip looking through a camera when you could be getting barreled instead!!

Our highly experienced Captain and crew have a complete knowledge of all conditions, tides, swells and winds, ensuring that you arrive safely and comfortably to the best surfing locations, and with the aid of Radar, GPS, and powerful spotlights, we are able to do most of our traveling during the night while you are sleeping, so you get more time at each break.
You will be visiting some of the most beautiful and exotic surf spots on the planet during your 7 days with us, there is also plenty of time to fish, dive and of course, kick back, relax and have fun, while checking out the islands of Indonesia

The Food

You won’t go hungry on Captain Coconut, we supply three high-carbohydrate meals daily, pasta, chicken, fish, eggs, rice, fresh fruit and vegetables, etc etc, plus ample snacks, cold soft drinks, bottled water and four beers per day from the fully catered kitchen. You are also welcome to bring spirits on board if you prefer something stronger.

Your Adventure

Day 1
Your seven-day, six night adventure begins at approximately 7am on the first day, when you will be transferred from your hotel to Serangan Beach, approximately 15 minutes drive. From there, a leisurely boat trip across the Badung Strait on Captain Coconut to beautiful Nusa Lembongan. The rest of the day is yours to explore the island, or transfer by Zodiac to surf some of the world class reef breaks found here, such as, Shipwrecks, Lacerations, Razors and Playground.

Day 2
Very early the next morning, while you are still asleep, the crew will up anchor and head for the island of Lombok, where your adventure really begins at one of the longest, and best, left hand tubes in the world, Desert Point.

From here on, it is up to you and the other guests along with the Captain and his knowledge and experience as to where you go for the next five days.
At the end of the weeks trip you will be transported back to Serangan Beach in Bali and then to your hotel, or the airport if you require. You might decide to stay a few days in Nusa Lembongan where there is accommodation available to suit all tastes, we can arrange this for you if you desire.

Waves encountered during your trip
Sick, Filth, Long, Hollow, Perfect, Barreling, Intense, Deep, Spitting and Insane are some of the words our guests have used to describe their surfs!!

Desert Point: A long walled and incredibly hollow left hander that on its day can break up to 300 meters, growing in size from takeoff to end. Best between 3-8 ft.

Scar Reef: A long walled left peak where you drive into several backdoor sections all offering tube rides to write home about. Best between 2-10 ft.

Super Sucks: Has been called the longest most intense tube ever ridden. Breaking over a live coral reef, this wave reels faultlessly for 150 meters. Get pitted from takeoff to exit. No top turns here when it’s on! Best between 3-6 ft.

Yo-Yo’s: Catches any swell. It consists of two rights, one a wedge peak breaking off a cliff face, the other a long walled right reef in the middle of the bay, usually surfed when everywhere else is small. Best between 2-6 ft.

When conditions allow some other semi secret spots are accessed.

What to Bring

Booties, some light rubber and helmets are highly recommended as all spots break over reef. Also bring plenty of sun protection, spare wax, leg ropes, fins etc and your favourite CD's and DVD's.
